LU Yiqun, WU Yue, LIU Zhenlong, REN Shuang
Acta Scientiarum Naturalium Universitatis Pekinensis    2024, 60 (2): 377-392.   DOI: 10.13209/j.0479-8023.2024.015
Abstract50)   HTML    PDF(pc) (604KB)(17)       Save
The gait biomechanical characteristics and rehabilitation treatment measures of trunk, hip, knee and ankle in different moving planes after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) fracture and reconstruction were reviewed. The results showed that after ACL fracture and reconstruction, the gait biomechanical abnormalities were found in all joints, and the knee joint biomechanical abnormalities were manifested in all three motion planes; the ankle joint abnormalities were mainly concentrated in the sagittal plane. The hip joint and trunk abnormalities were more common in the coronal plane. It is suggested to make targeted and long-term rehabilitation treatment plan according to the biomechanical characteristics of each joint and the different ACL fracture and postoperative period. At present, conventional rehabilitation training can not completely restore the normal gait after ACL fracture and reconstruction. Neuromuscular control training and holistic rehabilitation training of trunk, hip, knee and ankle should be added.

In order to retrieve the large-scale ground PM2.5 concentration distribution in eastern China, a model was built using machine learning. The model used the top-of-atmosphere reflectance data of the Himawari-8 geostationary satellite in 2019 and the meteorological data of the European Center as the input data, and the ground PM2.5 concentration was the output data. Validation results showed that the model had high accuracy on different time scales in eastern China. The ten-fold cross-validation of the model had a correlation coefficient of 0.82 and a root-mean-square error of 20.11 μg/m3 for hourly PM2.5 concentration inversion. The hourly satellite-meteorological grid data throughout the year of 2019 were input to the model, and the corresponding PM2.5 grid data for the eastern China obtained. Good results were achieved for the PM2.5 grid data after analyzing the seasonal variation and spatial distribution of PM2.5 concentration over eastern China.

Acta Scientiarum Naturalium Universitatis Pekinensis    2022, 58 (3): 412-420.   DOI: 10.13209/j.0479-8023.2022.022
Abstract804)   HTML    PDF(pc) (1259KB)(137)       Save
Based on the observations of a micro-pulse lidar in Beijing, the MLH is retrieved by using the artificial assistance algorithm during the day from 2016 to 2019. Then the seasonal and diurnal variations of MLH and its relationship with PM2.5 mass concentration are analyzed. The results show that the MLH shows obvious seasonal and diurnal changes, and the daily averaged MLH is significantly higher in spring than that in other seasons. The daily maximum MLH height in every year occurs in May of the year. The variation trend of the MLH is opposite to the concentration of PM2.5 from 08:00 am to 03:00 pm. Through linear fitting of the data, it is shown that the negative correlation is stronger when the ventilation index and wind speed are induced. When considering the influence of wind direction, the MLH has a stronger negative correlation with PM2.5 in the case of southwesterly wind. In addition, after weather classification, the correlation between PM2.5 and the MLH in each same weather group can be significantly improved.

A new objective post-processing system with cutting-edge machine learning algorithm for numerical weather prediction is presented. The core of the system, a matrix of artificial neural network trained by using historical in-situ observations and model results, can be applied on the latest numerical weather prediction results and produce real-time forecast for specific stations. The authors investigate the performance of post-processing system for two stations, Zhangjiakou and Beijing, for the period 2005?2020. It is shown that the forecasts produced by the new system are significantly more accurate than those produced by raw model forecasts, single-variable linear regression, and multi-variable linear regression, especially in terms of 3-day forecast. The authors developed all the core and auxiliary code by serving as Zhangjiakou and Beijing post-processing systems, which are routinely deployed since Nov. 1, 2020, to facilitate the weather service for the Olympic Winter Games at Beijing in 2022.

Acta Scientiarum Naturalium Universitatis Pekinensis    2019, 55 (4): 663-674.   DOI: 10.13209/j.0479-8023.2019.048
Abstract816)   HTML    PDF(pc) (18355KB)(117)       Save
Lüliang Group, as one of the lithostratigraphic units in the Lüliang Mountains, is composed of the original Lüliangshan Group and the low-grade metamorphic part of the original Chashang Group. This study chooses the altered volcanics belonging to the later Group in Lüliang Group to perform zircon U-Pb dating and Hf isotopic analysis in attempt to determine its formation time. The zircon U-Pb results show two groups of ages: one is the younger with concordant age of 1813±6 Ma (n=7) and the other is the older with 207Pb/206Pb weighted mean age of 2516±31 Ma (n=2). The former is likely to be interpreted as the crystallization age of the volcanic rock, whereas the latter is considered as the captured zircons. Magmatic zircons from the volcanic rock have εHf(t) values of -10.8--2.3, with TDM1 of 2308-2655 Ma, whereas captured zircons have εHf(t) values of +10.0-+13.1. The Hf isotopic signatures of ~2.5 Ga ages signify that their εHf(t) value is higher than the DMM line. U-Pb isotopic and Hf isotopic were analyzed in different domains of zircon, so the obtained Hf isotopic compositions are geologically meaningless mixtures. By contrast, the Hf isotopic signatures of ~1.8 Ga ages signify that their derivation from enriched mantle or depleted mantle contaminated by the crust. These results, together with previous data from the literatures, indicate that ~1.81 Ga magmatic event in the Lüliang area occurred at the post-orogenic setting.

Acta Scientiarum Naturalium Universitatis Pekinensis    2019, 55 (1): 133-147.   DOI: 10.13209/j.0479-8023.2018.034
Abstract810)   HTML    PDF(pc) (21553KB)(205)       Save

Field investigations, petrology, geochemistry, zircon U-Pb geochronology and Hf isotope analysis were performed to investigate the petrogenesis of Ningjiawan pluton, in an attempt to shed light on its geodynamic significance. LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating from two samples yielded ages of 2364±6 Ma (MSWD=0.13) and 2360±23 Ma (MSWD=4.0) respectively, indicating that the magma emplaced and crystalized in Paleoproterozoic. The pluton contains high concentrations of alkaline, K and Si, had elevated FeOT/MgO ratios and high field strength element (HFSE) contents, was enriched in Rb, Ba, Th and U elements, was depleted in Ca, Mg, P and Ti, and possessed a “seagull-type” chondrite-normalied REE pattern with significantly negative Eu anomalies (δEu=0.13−0.36) and enrichment in the LREE relative to the HREE, exhibiting the traits of the highly fractionated Itype granite. Relatively high whole-rock Y/Nb values (1.2−2.8), together with positive εHf(t) values (+1.6−+6.4), and tDM1(Hf) and tDM2(Hf) ages of 2449−2629 Ma and 2474−2711 Ma respectively on the zircon grains, signified that they were products derived from magma mixing between crust and depleted mantle sources. Moreover, distinctive negative Nb, P and Ti anomalies and positive Ce, Nd and Zr anomalies, characteristics of continental margin arc, combining with the regional geological background, indicate that Ningjiawan pluton is very likely to form in island arc setting.

Abstract1087)      PDF(pc) (1758KB)(641)       Save
In order to avoid the drawback of the traditional ICP (iteration closest point) method for co-registration, a non-linear least squares co-registration model is proposed, which is based on minimizing the sum of squares of the Euclidean distances between two overlapped surfaces. The experiments demonstrate that the proposed method can be used for the co-registration of cloud points collected by the airborne laser scanner, and the experimental results are comparable with those of traditional methods. The experimental results imply that the proposed method has a good performance for transformation parameters estimation in 3D point clouds co-registration procedure. Especially, the non-linear co-registration method can achieve the best estimated value with only 6 to 7 iteration time. It is much faster than traditional method in practice, and can be treated as an extension for traditional co-registration theory of iteration closest point in the field of computer vision.

Abstract665)      PDF(pc) (1211KB)(453)       Save
Applying lead/lag correlation analysis on Sea Surface Temperature (SST) in different regions, the main reasons that cause the Western Pacific SST anomaly were investigated. Based on the theories of Pacific-East Asian teleconnection and Indian Ocean capacitor effect, the pointwise maximum correlation of SST anomaly in the Western Pacific with that in the Eastern Pacific and the Tropical Indian Ocean was analyzed, as well as the corresponding lead-lag time (in month). According to the mechanisms mentioned above, the SST variations of the Eastern Pacific or the Tropical Indian Ocean are expected to lead SST variations of Western Pacific by 2?3 months as the response time of ocean is very long. The results show that the SST anomaly in the Western Pacific leads the Eastern Pacific by 1?2 months (under the conditions of both El Nino and La Nina) and leads the Tropical Indian Ocean by 3?4 months. This indicates that neither the Eastern Pacific nor the Indian Ocean is the main reason that causes the SST anomaly of the Western Pacific. The reason that causes SST anomaly of the Western Pacific is very complicated and may be caused by many different factors.

Electrochemical performances of Mn-series power batteries produced by MGL were studied, and compared with LiFePO4 power batteries of other companies. The results indicate that the high capacity and high power batteries with spinel LiMn2O4 and multi metal oxides as cathode materials not only have high voltage, high energy density, good high and low temperature properties, excellent rate of charge and discharge, stable thermal performance, but also show the linear of state of charge-open-circuit voltage (SOC-OCV) relationship, and then the battery manage system (BMS) can be easily controlled. Therefore, Mn-series power batteries will be the important direction for future power batteries.

Abstract690)            Save
With the aid of theory of landscape ecology, analysis of traj ectories and assessment of ecosystem service, this paper takes the water body in Shenzhen as the research object, analyzing the dynamic process of water body fragment and the corresponding changes of the ecosystem service. The results show that: 1) the process of water body fragment is so clear that the shrink of water body is the main characteristic. During 2000 and 2006, rivers became segment and channelization, pond and wetland were shrinking. In addition, the processes of fragment are different between each kind of water body. 2) The endpoint of the trajectories of change of water is developed land, and the changing process from water to developed land impose the trend of fragmentation and shrinking. 3) Water fragmentation restricts the ecological service. The direct service value increases continuously, while the indirect service value decreases, which leads to the increase of the proportion of the direct service value.

Magnetic reconnection is considered to be of crucial importance not only to space science but also to magnetically confined fusion,as well as many basic processes in astrophysics and cosmology. In general, except on a closed field line, three, dimensional (3D) magnetic reconnection occurs on the separator connecting magnetic nulls and separatrices, which are determined by the eigenvectors of the magnetic field gradient matrixes of the null pair. Due to the 3D geometric property, the null can only be detected by an at least 4, point measurement so far uniquely provided by the Cluster mission. Here the authors review the recent progresses in applying the Poincare method of magnetic null identification to find out: (1) the in situ evidences of four types of nulls (A, B, As and Bs) and their fans and spines; (2) the spatial scale of the spine structure of the null being of the order of local ion inertial length scale, suggesting that the Hall effect should be important in 3D reconnection dynamics; (3) the in situ evidence for the existence of A, B, B, As null pairs and the separator lines combining the null pairs; and (4) the existence of a lower hybrid oscillation in the immediate vicinity of the A, B separator line, which provides a possible mechanism for electron heating and acceleration in the reconnection process. It is the first in situ evidence for complete 3D reconnection geometry and associated dynamics, a crucial step toward to establish an observational framework of 3D reconnection.

Intraductal (common bile duct or intrahepatic duct) gallstones were rather prevalent in Asia and Taiwan. Comparing composition difference among central cores, rims and peripheries is help full to determine etiology in the process of stone nidation. Twenty sets of intraductal stones, including black pigment stone (n=2) and brown pigment stones (n=18), were quantitated by Infrared Spectroscopy. In brown pigment stones, 12 sets of stones presented rim structure (rim stones) with cholesterol content in 5 cases but without cholesterol in 7 cases, and other 6 stones showed muddy appearance. Comparing compositions of brown pigment intraductal rim stones, the median content of calcium bilirubinate always presents peripheries>rim>central core with or without cholesterol content (core vs. peripheries, P<0.05). The distribution of calcium palmitate shows central core>rim>peripheries in rim stones without cholesterol (core vs. peripheries, P<0.05), or in rim stones with cholesterol (core vs. peripheries P>0.05. The median cholesterol content in rim stones with cholesterol content showed central core>rim without significance (P>0.05). The same significant difference of calcium bilirubinate and palmitate contents also present between central core of rim stones and muddy stones (P<0.05). From brown pigment stones, central core contains a significantly larger amount of calcium palmitate representing bacterial infection as a major pathological factor in early nidation of stone formation. On the contrary, calcium bilirubinates always significant present in peripheries and rims of rim structure stones and muddy stones, representing bile stasis as a important factors during stone growth.
